When your car will not start it may not always be a battery fault:

  • Is the battery just flat and needs charging?
  • Is the alternator faulty?

Some common reasons for Flat Batteries:

  1. Was the car sitting idle for a long period of time?

Is there an electrical drain on the battery when the car is not running?, for example, phone accessories, LED lights, radio, GPS, TV, Computer, and some car alarms?

  1. Were the headlights left on when the engine was not running?
  2. Is the car only used for a short period each day? Short driving periods may not allow the alternator to replace all the energy in the battery which was used for starting.
  3. Is there an electrical short anywhere in the vehicle?
  4. Is it extremely heat or cold? Both hot and cold weather effect battery performance.
